Game Development Process and Playtesting


We wanted to design a platformer where players will collect abilities that'll help them traverse the different levels. Each level will introduce a new mechanic and is designed in a way where players are required to use them to pass that level. In the end, the players will have to use all the abilities they collected to escape.

There were a lot of issues relating to collision detection. The player would get stuck on certain corners of platforms. There were also issues with the animation of the character. The respective sprites weren't displaying when the appropriate actions were executed.
